Call Care
Touching up the wax finish:
You shouldn't have to do much to these calls, they have a good old fashioned oil and hard wax finish just like the stock on pappy's model 12. If your finish needs a tune up, you can use a hard wax to get the job done. Contact us for the one we use and we can guide you through the process.
Tuning your call:
Every call that leaves our shop is hand tuned by the owner, Johnny Bobby, and is precisely set to offer a wide range of waterfowl linguistics. If you do not like the way Johnny Bobby has tuned your call there is a spare reed in the box that you can use to dial in the sound you want. If you mess this up, give us a shout in the contact form and we can help you out.
Call sounds flat:
First things first, check your cork. We use a cork/synthetic blend that prolongs the life of the cork and still gives a natural tone to the call, but it's still cork and it can lose its bounce eventually. We give you a slab of extra cork with your call so you can replace the stock one if it ever wears out. If you are new to this, give us a shout and we will help you out.
