A word from the Owner:
First, I want to thank you for visiting Stackin' Bills. My name is John Cote, the first time I ever hunted waterfowl was with my father. He almost killed me (well not really) by dropping a 12lb goose at 40 yards overhead. I was sitting on a stump and that goose came down like a meteor, missing my head by three inches and then slammed into the marsh next to me. I was completely covered in muddy water and instantly fell in love with the sport. Since then, I've hunted up and down the Mississippi River, mostly in Wisconsin and sometimes in Illinois. I met one of my best friends in a field on opening day of early goose and have enjoyed every minute of this wild ride.
Outside of hunting, I hold a mechanical engineering degree from Milwaukee School of Engineering and an MBA from the University of Illinois. I served five years in the United States Navy, went on one deployment and met a helluva lot of extraordinary people. God bless the ones who made it a career, we owe them more than you know.
I founded Stackin' Bills in 2023 because I love the way wooden calls look and I believe they embody the legacy of waterfowl hunting. But wood calls just can't beat the performance of acrylic when it comes to sound consistency. I couldn't find a wood and acrylic duck call that I liked, so I made my own. I hope you enjoy using it as much as I enjoyed making it. Best of luck out there, be safe and God bless you.
